What is Abstinence?
Abstinence is making an informed choice not to participate in at-risk behaviors, such as:
:: pre-marital sex (anal, vaginal, and oral)
:: smoking
:: drug and alcohol use.
Will talking to my teen about sex lead them to have sex?
Research shows that teens who have talked with their parents about sex are more likely to postpone sex. Teens get most of their information from the media, movies and friends. Don't wait for your teen to start the conversation… it's up to you.
